Board of Directors.
The Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota is overseen by a volunteer board of directors who collectively lead the organization through strategic planning, and who work together to implement the vision, goals, and objectives of the organization. Current members of the Board of Directors are:
Sarah Aamot, Artistic Director
and founder of The Legacy Chorale, has been a director of choirs, musical director and orchestra conductor since 1987. She holds a MM in Choral Conducting and Literature and teaches choir at Central Lakes College. She has sung as a choral member and soprano soloist with The Minnesota Chorale, the Minnesota Orchestra, The Bach Society of Minnesota, and many other music organizations. She is a member of The American Choral Directors Association, the Minnesota Music Educators Association, and Chorus America.
Laura Raedeke, Accompanist
has an M.A. in Music Theory and Composition and has been The Legacy Chorale accompanist since its founding in 2002 and has served as organist for Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa and First Congregational UCC in Brainerd. As a composer, she has produced vocal, instrumental, and organ works.
Anne McMahon, Administrative Assistant & Events Coordinator
comes to the Legacy Chorale with a BA in Elementary Education and a Minor in Music from Augsburg College, Minneapolis, MN. She appeared in the children’s chorus of two Minnesota Opera productions, La Boheme and Hansel and Gretel and later sang with the Bel Canto Voices, St. Olaf Manitou Singers, St. Olaf Chamber Choir and Augsburg Choir. For the past 20 years, she has had career in finance and customer service, including working as Office Manager for her husband’s cabinet business. Along with being The Legacy Chorale Administrative Assistant & Events Coordinator, she is also a member of The Legacy Chorale, keeping up with and enjoying the thing that she loves most, singing!
